Dr. Brian Ast

Endodontist

Dr. Brian Ast was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he met his wife, Maria, also a dentist. Following graduation, Dr. Ast practiced general dentistry in both Pittsburgh and South Texas, gaining valuable experience in comprehensive patient care.

Driven by a strong interest in endodontics, Dr. Ast pursued specialty training at the University of Minnesota, where he completed his residency in Endodontics. His clinical and academic experience during residency allowed him to develop advanced skills in the diagnosis and treatment of root canal-related diseases using evidence-based techniques and modern technologies.

Dr. Ast is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care with an emphasis on communication and comfort. He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists and the Minnesota Association of Endodontists.

He resides in Apple Valley with his wife Maria, their son James, and two cats—Mimosa and Paloma. In his free time, Dr. Ast enjoys watching hockey and soccer, exploring new hiking trails, traveling, and trying new restaurants. He remains a loyal—and chronically disappointed—supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
