Eric Grutzner, DDS, MS
Meet Dr. Grutzner
Dr. Eric Grutzner was raised in Madison, Wisconsin. His undergraduate education was at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1989. In 1991, Dr. Grutzner obtained both his Master of Science and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Minnesota and founded Metropolitan Endodontics that same year.
Dr. Grutzner has served as the President of the Minnesota Association of Endodontics. He has lectured before the St. Paul District and State Dental Meetings, lectured and taught endodontics at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, and was director of the Undergraduate Endodontics pre-clinical course. He has had research published in the Journal of Endodontics and The Journal of Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine. He also was a contributor to the book, Syndromes of the Head and Neck, and has lectured extensively in the State of Minnesota.
Dr. Grutzner is also very committed to serving his local community. He has donated his services to the Union Gospel Mission of St. Paul since 1989. He is active in the Give Kids a Smile Day and participates in the Donated Dental Services Program.
Dr. Grutzner attends numerous continuing education courses each year to stay at the forefront of his specialty so he can provide the best and most up-to-date care for his patients. He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics and the Minnesota Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, and has served multiple times as a delegate to the Minnesota Dental Association.
Dr. Grutzner resides in Inver Grove Heights with his wife, Barb. They have two grown children, Erich and Mackenzie. In his spare time, Dr. Grutzner enjoys beekeeping, gardening, biking and spending time with his family.
