Tyler Peterson, DDS, MS
Meet Dr. Peterson
Dr. Tyler Peterson is originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees both from the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation, Dr. Peterson received the American Association of Endodontists’ Student Achievement Award in Endodontics.
Dr. Peterson practiced general dentistry in Burnsville for several years, where he developed an appreciation for comprehensive dentistry and the value of compassionate dental care. He then returned to the University of Minnesota Endodontic Residency, where he obtained both his Master of Science and Certificate in Endodontics. While in the program, Dr. Peterson’s research focused on improvements offered by modern endodontic instruments and techniques. This foundation enables Dr. Peterson to provide the highest level of endodontic care.
Dr. Peterson is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Peterson is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Minnesota Association of Endodontists, and the International Association of Dental Traumatology.
Dr. Peterson is married to Dr. Mercedes Porter, who is a dentist and full-time faculty member at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. They live with their two daughters in southwest Minneapolis. Tyler values spending time with family and friends, and enjoys biking, golfing, boating, and traveling.
