Jerald Lyng, DDS, MS
Meet Dr. Lyng
Dr. Jerald Lyng was born and raised in Sauk Center, Minnesota. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota Morris, and received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1984. Dr. Lyng practiced general dentistry from 1984 to 1993, during which time he became aware of his interest in endodontics. In 1995, he received his Master of Science degree and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Consistent with his kind demeanor, Dr. Lyng is committed to providing quality endodontic treatment in a caring gentle manner. He attends numerous continuing education courses to keep him at the forefront of patient care. He is involved in many organizations dedicated to maintaining the best dental treatment for his patients, including the American Association of Endodontics, Minnesota Dental Association, the Minneapolis and St. Paul District Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. Lyng is a Clinical Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Dr. Lyng continually is invited to lecture at meetings and continuing education courses.
Dr. Lyng is on staff at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics where he provides treatment to children with special needs. He has donated his services to the Union Gospel Mission and Give Kids A Smile Day, and participates in the Donated Dental Service program.
Dr. Lyng resides in Eden Prairie with his wife Lori and their two college age daughters. Dr. Lyng enjoys fishing, golfing and numerous projects around the house.
